The Canoe optical frame sports an updated vintage look with subtle rivet detailing on the front. This frame features a Canoe design by Donald Chretien that represents the 7 places where the Anishinaabe stopped on their way to the Great Lakes. There are also 7 grandfathers in the canoes, they represent 7 teachings.
The Anishinaabek were guided in history by stories and teachings known as the Seven Fire prophecies. The Seventh Fire prophecy, is a story of renewal of the Anishinaabe people. It speaks of great peace and reconciliation between First Nations and the settlers.
Available in a classic black with crystal back for a softer contrast on your face and a brown demi with a blue bottom. This frame has a spring hinge for additional flex and comfort.
Every pair of optical frames comes with an embossed hard case and microfibre cleaning cloth, and 2 year warranty. Please note, these are frames only, lenses are NOT included.

I’ve only worn them for a day and I’ve already gotten many compliments. They fit perfectly, the color is great (I ordered blue) and the canoe design is perfect. I come from Woodlands people and the canoe was historically a very important part of our culture so it has even more significance to me than just a cool image.
